Yes both are opiates, a derivitive of the poppy plant, just like heroine. The only difference between pain medication is the amount of milligrams, and what its cut with, ie tylenol, aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.

Yes, both medications contain the same drug, oxycodone. The only difference between the two is Oxycontin releases the drug slowly over a period of 8-12 hours, and Roxi releases instantly, like Percocet or Vicodin.

it will come up the same because they are both opiots Wrong... you will test positive for opiates, however, the test I take test for many drugs including hydrocodone (vicodin) and oxycodone (percocet, roxicodone) and they show up as different drugs. If you have been taking vicodin you will test positive for hydrocodone, if you have been taking percocet you will test positive for oxycodone. It also depends on how specific your drug test is.

Why does methadone show positive in urine drug screen when only percocet is taken?
Most likely you have the wrong drug listed as what is showing in the drug screen... I don't believe that methadone would show in a drug screen for percocet. Percocet is made of two active ingredients, Tylenol and oxycodone. oxycodone is derived from morphine, so it is possible that morphine may show in the drug test when percocet is taken.
