Yes, it does. But, not for all the people who had it.
i had surgery for pilonidal sinus 40 years ago can it come back, i have discomfort in this area, can this be coming back If there is pain or discomfort around the area of the previous closure it can be operated on again, and left to heal. Usually the second operation is quicker to heal.
A sac of fluid and hair over the sacral region of the back is called a pilonidal cyst. It may become infected and cause pain and discomfort, requiring medical intervention. Treatment may include antibiotics, drainage, or surgical removal.
Sinus drainage comes down the back of your throat. Try drinking hot water or hot tea without milk. It it continues or if you have pain below your cheek bones or over your eyes, you might have a sinus infection.

Reflux, regurgitate.
I had surgery to remove a quarter-sized pilonidal cyst removed and the procedure itself didn't hurt at all but yes it definitely hurt afterward. I was surprised to see the large black hole that was left in my back. Seeing the hole was very scary and I wasn't really prepared for it. If you have a pilonidal cyst removed then don't plan on doing anything for days afterward. It will hurt to move at all, you can't even lay on your back and bathing hurts, too, but it is absolutely necessary.
