It will shrink!
yes
A cold faucet. A minimal water flow stops the water from freezing and allows for ice to expand.
No only water it's the odd one.
A little bit, but not much. If it is really hot, and then really cold, then your cement will crack.
You would suffocate because you would not be able to expand your chest and inhale.
It is an important cement ingredient and its proportion must be carefully maintained. It occupies the percentage of 60-67%. The lime in excess makes the cement unsound and causes the cement to expand and disintegrate.
Only the few liquids that expand when they freeze like water. But yes, they can.
Very unlikely, if possible.
Freezing a rock would shrink it some (contract) while the thawing would expand it. This applies to most substances, water being the obvious exception.
i believe heat does expand... I'm not sure though. i think the particles separate to have room to vibrate. that causes the heat to expand. :)
when liquids freeze they expand so if you freeze anything in a full can or bottle it will have no space in which to expand and hence the can or bottle will explode. If you're freezing anything you should make sure there is space in the top of the container for it to expand.
Yes. Freezing destroys the germinal disc and development will not take place. Freezing often causes the contents of the egg to expand and crack also.
