Sunlight helps the human body to manufacture vitamin D. In that sense one can say that solar radiation contributes to vitamin D. It does not have vitamin D, though.

Which term does not belong in the group vitamin D cholesterol UV radiation or keratin?

I think the answer would be Vitamin D because the rest of the choices are characteristics of hair (cholesterol is what makes hair look/ appear oily; UV radiation is what hair protects your scalp from; and keratin [particularly dead keratin] is what your hair is made of) .... Whereas with vitamin D is what the skin produces and doesn't have any involvement with hair.

Does having low calcium affect the absorption of vitamin d?

No. It, in fact, is the opposite. Vitamin D is absorbed in the intestine, converted by UV radiation in the skin, and then helps absorb Calcium into the body. Vitamin D deficiency can be caused by a few things, a diet low in Vitamin D, low sun exposure, or it could be caused by a tumor in the parathyroid gland (but if you have low Calcium, that is not possible).
