Yes it can,,by people who seek to have all of the power of the masses by twisting the original teachings and to control people by the power of fear.It is this type of theological abuse that has caused many to be disgusted with religion all together and leaves many people confused as to their reason to be here and alive. As for myself I am a spiritual occultist who is not anyone's fool ,and can see my way clearly ahead of me for a long ways into the future.Soon we are all to see the World Teacher who is known as Maitreya. He has been here for a very long time . The last time Maitreya manifested himself was two thousand years ago when he over shadowed his disciple Jesus for three years ,from the baptism to the crucifixion .Maitreya was the first of our humanity to achieve to a level of divinity that allows him to work at our level of development ,and to to do his work as the World Teacher for all humanity. There are millions today who are on the very verge of the first initiation and Maitreya is the hierophant at the first two initiations and this is one of the reasons he comes now at this time. Soon we are to see the Master Jesus as well coming forth to reform Christianity to it's original beautiful and mystical state it was meant to be.
