It depends on whether or not you open a new account. Most of the time credit card companies transfer the account, keeping the starting date as the opening date of the account. The consumer is sent a new card, with a new number. The old account is notated "lost or stolen" and "transferred". If this is your situation, you are not taking a hit to your credit score.

If, on the other hand, you open the account yourself. You may get an inexperienced customer service rep who takes the wrong sequence of steps and performs both a "hard" inquiry and causes a new account to generate.

Either way, you will never lose the years of good history you have on the lost card account, but obviously, the first situation would be in your best interests. Call your credit card company and question them carefully about the procedure.

Is account still considered delinquent on you credit report if it has been paid in full?

Technically it is a paid, and no longer delinquent account. But it is still considered as a negative account by the FICO scoring model. The bureaus want to show your entire payment history to any lender subscriber to their service. This will still be reported as a negative account for up to seven years.

Will it have a negative effect on the report if an account has been closed by the credit grantor because the card has never been used?

It may. I have heard rumors that the statement "closed by credit grantor" is considered negative and has an impact on credit scores. "Closed by consumer" is considered a positive and does not impact scores. This is unconfirmed and certainly not in writing outside of the scoring companies.

When you pay off a tax lien does it reduce your credit score?

PAYING a tax lien has no effect on your credit. What would affect your credit score would be to have the lien released. This is the legal disposition to a lien. Have the release recorded at the same courthouse and send the proof of payment and the release to the credit bureaus. Tax liens have no statute of limitations for how long they can show on your credit report. Having the release recorded and shown on your credit triggers the 7 year countdown for when these public records will be shielded. According to Experian the payment of a tax lien, (which do in fact have statute of limitations of 7 years from the date of payment)payment of a tax lien and the subsequent reporting of the release WILL have a negative effect on your credit score. The logic in the world of credit scoring is this; Once a payment has been made on an old account, this constitutes "activity" on a derogatory credit entry. Recent activity on a derogatory account (even though payment should be considered "good") is considered a negative when computing scores.

You had a judgment deleted from your credit report due to a misunderstanding with the credit bureau how many points will your credit score increase?

It depends on other factors of your credit report--but I have seen personally a FICO score increase 140 points once a judgment has been removed. Here are the scoring factors and their weights on a FICO scores: Payment History 35%, Amount of Credit Owing 30%, Length of Credit History 15%, New Credit 10%, and Type of credit in use 10%. Because these factors are considered, it depends. I would say from 50-150.

What is the use of meld scoring in cirrhosis?

The MELD scoring system is an algebraic formula for assessing how long a person with cirrhosis has to live (hence it's useful in assessing who should be priority on the liver transplant waiting list). It takes into account blood test results, perceived quality of life and other factors. The pediatric system is the "PELD" scoring system, which works in a similar way.
