when you refer to resin I'm assuming you mean scraping your bowl with a paper clip or some other material, compacting all the black stuff and putting it back in your glass. this does work if you are low on weed because the resin is the tar left by smoke as well as ashes. there is left-over THC in this stuff and you can smoke it.
