does rockland county probation use urine etg tests
yes they can test for alcohol i've been on probation for two yrs the good news is they always use the ethanol test and they have never used the more expensive etg test that is not as reliable and you could fight it in court which i would no matter what
Yes they do. When you sign the release for look and see which Panel test they seleccted. If they choose Panel C then it will be a ETG test.
If your in trouble for an alcohol problem and are receiving an EtG test then yes, and kind of chemical dependency place where your expected to be 100% clean will give you an EtG test and alcohol usage will be detected up to 80 hours before the test
Depends on your probation(there is no country wide probation drug testing policy, it differs from city to city and state to state) But mine won't unless they have reason to believe you have been drinking.
Yes, see the link below.
Ethyl gluconoride is a metabolite of ethanol. It stays in your body for several days after you last drank, so people like probation officers enjoy this test--if you were at a race on Sunday afternoon and you saw one of your clients drinking beers, you can pull him in on Tuesday, test him for EtG and throw him in jail for violating his probation. At least that's the theory. The problem with this test is it triggers on soap--if you wash your hands in a soap containing SD Alcohol 40, you will p*ss hot on the EtG test. I think EtG is a test that will eventually be removed from our battery of usable tests; it's so sensitive it's impossible to use it for what it's there for.
The ETG test is the Ethyl Glucuronide test. It is used to test for alcohol in urine. When ETG is found in the urine, it indicates that alcohol was consumed recently.
My probation officer told me it tests for synthetic drugs, but after researching it more, i see that its actually an alcohol test that goes 3-4 days back to check if you have consumed alcohol.
Yup. Just took my second probation UA and it says "8 Panel Drug Screen *Includes ETG*." My offense is not even alcohol related, but THC related, and they still added ETG onto my screen. My PO is definitely trying to bone me but luckily I'm not messing with anything until probation is over.. It's just not worth the anxiety of not knowing if you're gonna pass in my opinion..
Anything that contains alcohol, even mouthwash, will affect an ETG test.
No. You can't mask EtG. Unfortunately, you also can't get away from it--if you wash your hands in an antibacterial hand soap that has alcohol in it you will show up positive on the test. (They have three threshold settings for it--and, of course, any probation officer is going to choose the most sensitive one.)
From a sample of urine.
