They do in some cases but do not in others. As scientific knowldge increases many begin to doubt the need for a god or likely hood of one ( such as myself). The main question lies in is did we evolve from simpler organisms in a proccess of drawn out devolpment in evoulution or was a creator involved. Evolution, being nearly completely proven as fact is denied by most theists. Yet religion and science can coexsit as many thiests have said that it was a god who started evolution as sort of a domino effect.
Religion is not a science.
Think about it. When using science, we often have theories that lead to things like evolution. The church does not believe in evolution, but that god created us in his image.
