no it doesn't,
it protects the belt, but if you overspray the belt might pop out.
== == This typically is normal but not desired. The bottle might say to spray the dressing while the car is idling but its best to spray it during belt changes or at least be careful just to spray it a little at a time and just on the ridges of the pulleys, not the belt itself or the bolts of the pulleys. If you spray it too much or on the pulleys it makes the tension adjust in the bolts on the pulleys kinda like "unseize" spray for spark plugs, and then quickly tightens it to improve grip, and as a result your belt might pop off. Just be careful.
You can close the hood latch, on your Chevrolet Malibu, by gently pushing downward on the hood. The latch may need to be sprayed with a lubricant.
What part of the car squeeks? If you're saying the belt makes noise, and it's a serpentine belt... yes, you should replace it. Check the underside, where the grooves are. If you see a lot of little cracks, that's where the noise is comming from. While you have the old belt off, check the idler pulleys and other pulleys for bad bearings. Give them a spin and they should be quiet and turn smoothly... except the alternator, which makes a little noise when the brushes rub. But even then, the alternator should turn freely. It's a good idea to keep the belt in good shape. That keeps you from getting stranded. Yes its the belt that is squeaky i sprayed both belts and when i sprayed them they instantly went quiet after about 20 minutes of traffic driving they were squeaky again its a semi new car???
It sounds like your vacuum controls are stuck on the defroster I had that happen and I sprayed a lubricant into the vacuum lines and it cleared up

AnswerHad same problem on our 95, open the doors, spray wd-40 on all latches, really soak them, spray up, spray between lathces and door metal, wd will help remove the sticky mess that has stuck the switches behin the latches..open and close the doors several times until light goes out...then soak the latches with a silicon spray to lubricate well... it took several tries but it did finally work. Yes this does work I just had the same issue, used a lubricant bam lights went off......just sprayed in the latches opened n closed sprayed again finally went off...
silver iodide is sprayed on the clouds
These doors sometimes can be a pain in the ars to adjust. TAke it to the dealer or a body shop you are familiar with. Adding to this since I had a problem like this. I used a Dry Silicone Lubricant spray and sprayed the latches and all the rollers on the door and it fixed my problem with this. Don't use WD40 or another oilbased lubricant because it will just cause more junk to stick to them and make the problem even worse within a few weeks. Make sure it is a dry lubricant. Sorry if this is a really late answer there are no dates on the questions
