Yes, certainly. a single mother cannot take care of all the requirements of a child. A child learns certain aspects of life from the mother and certain from the father. A mix of 2 different kinds of characters is very important in the learning process of a child. Since, the mother and father both come from a different background, the child grows up with a mix of both the world's, which he cant even learn from his maternal relatives, who are of the same thoughts and beliefs as the mother. The child also needs a balance of love from both mother and father to grow into a complete individual. This is over and above the fact that a child has to undergo lots of humiliation from the society and also during his / her admissions into schools and colleges it requires the husband's signature on all papers.

If a father terminates his parental rights does the mother have to give up the child for adoption if the mother is a single parent?

If the father terminates his parental rights the single mother can legally and solely have full custody of that child as long as the courts decide that she is capable of working and providing a safe environment for the child. There are times that the parents of the young mother, or possibly grandparents will help in looking after the child if the mother is a minor and finishing her education and the courts will often look favorably on this.

Why do mothers take their sons into the female changing room?

It depends on the age of a child in the dressing room if there is a problem. If it is a young child I don't think any woman would have a problem with a mother keeping the child with her, but an older boy would be a problem.
