Balanced Equation:

2Na3PO4 (aq) + 3NiCl2 (aq) ----> Ni3(PO4)2 (s) + 6NaCl (aq)

Ni3(PO4)2 is the precipitate........

Balanced Ionic Equation:

2Na+ (aq) + 2PO43- (aq) + 3Ni2+ (aq) + 3Cl- (aq) ----> Ni3(PO4)2 (s) + 6Na+ (aq) + 6Cl- (aq)

Balanced Net Ionic Equation:

2PO43- (aq) + 3Ni2+ (aq) ----> Ni3(PO4)2 (s)

Yes. Aqueous zinc chloride plus aqueous sodium hydroxide produce aqueous sodium chloride and solid zinc hydroxide.

ZnCl2(aq) + 2NaOH(aq) --> 2NaCl(aq) + Zn(OH)2(s)

A chemical reaction occurs between sodium hydroxide and hydrogen chloride?

The reaction is:NaOH + HCl = NaCl + H2O

If solid sodium hydroxide were added to neutralize the HCl would this reverse the reaction and cause the sodium chloride to redissolve?

No, adding solid sodium hydroxide to neutralize hydrochloric acid (HCl) would not cause sodium chloride to redissolve. The reaction between sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid forms water and sodium chloride, which remains in its dissolved form. The addition of solid sodium hydroxide would simply further neutralize the acid and increase the concentration of the resulting sodium chloride solution.

Is precipitation a single displacement reaction?

No. Not every double displacement reaction is a precipitation reaction. If we look at just one reaction, a neutralization reaction between hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH), we'll see this: HCl + NaOH => NaCl + H2O The end products are sodium chloride (NaCl, or table salt) and water (H2O). The salt is soluble in water so it will not precipitate out. There are many, many double displacement reactions, and the ones that will result in a precipitate will be ones where an end product is not soluble.

What chemical reaction creates a white chalky substance?

the reaction between 2Al(s) +6HCL(aq) >>>> 2AlCl3( insoluble chloride) and 3H2(g) also a solid precipitate is formed by the bubbling of carbon dioxide into lime water

How can you tell if somthing has gone through a chemical change?

When chemical changes occur, the atoms are rearranged and the reaction is accompanied by an energy change as new products are generated. Eg of a chemical change is the reaction between sodium hydroxide and hydrogen chloride to produce sodium chloride, or common salt.

What is the substance formed by the reaction between iron III Chloride and sodium hydroxide?

It is Iron III hydroxide (thats the brick red precipitate). It forms as well sodium chloride which is soluble in the water of the reaction and therefore you do not see.

A chemical reaction occurs between sodium hydroxide and hydrogen chloride Adding more sodium hydroxide to the reaction causes it to speed up If you add more of a reactant such as sodium hydroxide?

A chemical reaction occurs between sodium hydroxide and hydrogen chloride. Adding more sodium hydroxide to the reaction causes it to speed up. If you add more of a reactant, such as sodium hydroxide, can it be considered a catalyst? Why or why not?
