No, Picolax actually may lower blood pressure. Picolax is osmotoc laxatives, it is will make patient to loose up to 2 littres of water. This is why I will avoid picolax in elderly medicine, hypotensive patients , dehydrated patients. Lactulose 15 ml twice per day is good, but increase flatunence (passing wind, meteorism). Movicol (1-2 sachets per day), senna (start with 7.5 mg once per night) is good. Glycerin supposit. is good too. Enemas with arachis oil good.
