The answer to this is unknown. It could be one, or the other. It is known that Jacob touched each candidate before they came to the island. When he visits the Kwons, he touches both of them. So, a third possibility could be that they are both candidates, and if chosen would BOTH replace Jacob.
What are the best Kung Fu shoes?
Well, I think it may depend. I have worn Feiyues, china warriors, kwons, some brand I bought from Jonie Uniforms. These are all marketed as Kung fu shoes. I am currently wearing a 30 dollar pair of sketchers I got at kohls. They work well because they have quality construction, thus holding up to the rigors of rooting and such, and are low to the ground. They don't have a big sole. I find the lower to the ground you are the more stable you are. As if i was barefoot, only I am not.The Feiyues, Kwons, and Jonie brand are held together with adhesive. The china warriors are sown. The Warriors Exploded at the seems after a few months. The adhesive shoes stretch to much. I wear holes through the heel and the medial area of the ball, the part under the big toe, in all of these shoes. I liked the kwons the best though for kung fu. The rounded bottoms makes them kinda suck for Taiji. But they worked fine for Kung fu and lion dance. The sketchers are my favorite so far though.
