There's no reason it can't... there are specific metabolites that can be tested for, and there's no guarantee that someone tomorrow won't start marketing a specific test for it.
It's basically very simple to get a passing drug test: Just don't do drugs in the first place and you wouldn't have to worry about whether they show up or not.
