I have sensitive ears and the dr wants me to put sweet oil in my ear to loosen up the wax before coming back in 2 weeks. Will the sweet oil cause pain if I put it into my ear?
Sweet oil will not cause any pain in the ears. As a child, I had earaches often. My Mom put warm sweet oil in my ears all the time for earaches.

I do not know if sweet oil has any healing properties or not. As a child I had frequent earaches. My Mom put warm sweet oil in my ear and had me to hold a warm towel over my ear awhile. This always helped the pain.

My mom & grandma used to put it in my ears for earaches or when you get the ringing sensation in your ears. I have used it for years on myself, kids, grandkids. Usually gets a head start on preventing earaches.
