Yes, the 2GB DDR2 SO-DIMM is specifically for Acer laptops.
No, you cannot. Garageband is for Macs only.
acer only problem battry but compaqca has drivers problem so ur choice
The question is broad so the answer is also they use sodimm, which are smaller modules in a 200 or 204 pin attachment....the newest would use DDR3,older DDR2 or DDR.The best way to check what you have is to find out the specs of your motherboard, with that information you could buy the right type and amount the motherboard could handle.....side note if your running Xp it can only handle 4 gig's of ram if your board supports that amount
Only the higher end "gaming" laptops (i.e. using the Intel Core i7) currently use DDR3. Most laptops are still using DDR2.
The best laptops to go for are established brands such as Acer, Lenovo, Asus, Apple, Samsung or HP. It is best to pick a price range that suits you, and only look for laptops in that bracket. It can also be helpful to look for refurbished laptops as they can mean big savings.
DDR. Technically, there is no "DDR1", only "DDR" and DDR2".
Kingston memory modules will work on any laptop, provided it's of the same memory type (DDR, DDR2, &tc.).
Wal-Mart sells many different brands of laptops such as; Acer,Dell,Lenovo,Samsung,Sony, compaq,ASUS,HP,and Gateway. Some brands may only be offered on their site though.
I repair laptops all day and there are only 2 ways to unlock the HDD password on an Acer Exstensa. First way is to contact Acer Support and supply them with the error code that appears after entering 3 wrong passwords. If you can't get the HDD master password from Acer support use the 2nd way and visit http://unlockbiosrecovery.com/Unlock_Acer_HDD.php and for $20 and your error code they can produce the same HDD master password as Acer Support and they guarantee it to work.
Even though Dell is better known throughout the USA than Acer, they have a long history of good, sturdy hardware. Both companies are good, but it depends on what kind of laptop you want and the features included with it. Dell is much better than acer. acer has bad software, I'm telling you from my experience.
In general, it seems that they are. Acer was initially the manufacturer for Texas Instruments before they became a separate company. In general, they seem competetively priced and well-built. Their tech support also seems very good with reasonable wait times and very often an American-sounding agent on the other end who is usually pretty helpful.
The best brand of mini laptop is Acer. Their netbook not only comes in a variety of colors, it is also small, light and portable, yet as durable as a full-size laptop.
