Yes as of January 3rd the military in general tests for spice.

IAW AR 600-85 Para 4, Section 26. I don't know if the new regulation is out yet, (Google IAW AR 600-85 and see) but yes as of now they drug test for spice. It's put on a random drug test out of 5 other substances that are thrown out in order. And, Usually by your commander's discretion(s). But knowing how popular it has become... Go ahead and think of it as BDE (brigade) Mandatory. Which means

So basically, if you smoke spice and you are in the military... Either hope it's only a quarterly, a usually if not always, 10 percent random (unless you've popped hot before, then believe it you'll get a piss test every time even if its only a 10%, random, drug test.) "Drug Screening"

- OR -

Hope that your sample was tested for another random substance (remember, out of the 5 types?)

Cheers.

I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT THE ARMED FORCES BE TESTED, BUT ONLY MOBILIZED OR DEPLOYED UNITS SHOULD BE, IF YOU CAN STILL BE AT FORMATION ON TIME IN GARRISON... AND DO YOUR JOB AS WELL AS ANY OTHER APT INDIVIDUAL
