Could the behemoths in the Bible be dinosaurs?

if you read chapter 40 of JOB you can also read of another creature called LEVIATHAN, some speculate that behemoth was a wild ox, but The Bible does not say, so take it for face value.

Technically, the word "dinosaur" wasn't invented until around1841.

However, the term "dragon" (Greek, dra′kon) is found in some older translations. Interestingly, many of the mythical depictions of the "dragon" strongly resemble certain types within the family of huge reptilian creatures that includes the dinosaur. Whether or not the people who wrote the bible knew of such creatures remains a mystery.

It was once possible to believe that behemoth and the leviathan, mentioned in Psalms and the Book of Job, were dinosaurs, no matter how unlikely this was. However the discovery that the behemoth and the leviathan were chaos monsters in other ancient Near Eastern religions now means that they must be thought of in the same light in a biblical context.

When God asks Job whether he can do the mighty things God can do, whether he can fight the chaos monsters (Behemoth and Leviathan) that God defeated, he is boasting of his prowess in defeating the chaos monsters, just as Baal and other gods supposedly did in other contexts.

actually, yes! well... Sortove. In job 40, job describes two beasts, one called the leviathan and one called the behemoth. As i read it, i noticed how much of jobs description of the behemoth matched that of a large sauropod, it is likely that it was. As for the leviathan, there are theories that its a large whale or probably something like a crocodile.
