Yes, that's exactly what they are!
if you read chapter 40 of JOB you can also read of another creature called LEVIATHAN, some speculate that behemoth was a wild ox, but The Bible does not say, so take it for face value.
Technically, the word "dinosaur" wasn't invented until around1841.
However, the term "dragon" (Greek, dra′kon) is found in some older translations. Interestingly, many of the mythical depictions of the "dragon" strongly resemble certain types within the family of huge reptilian creatures that includes the dinosaur. Whether or not the people who wrote the bible knew of such creatures remains a mystery.
It was once possible to believe that behemoth and the leviathan, mentioned in Psalms and the Book of Job, were dinosaurs, no matter how unlikely this was. However the discovery that the behemoth and the leviathan were chaos monsters in other ancient Near Eastern religions now means that they must be thought of in the same light in a biblical context.
When God asks Job whether he can do the mighty things God can do, whether he can fight the chaos monsters (Behemoth and Leviathan) that God defeated, he is boasting of his prowess in defeating the chaos monsters, just as Baal and other gods supposedly did in other contexts.

actually, yes! well... Sortove. In job 40, job describes two beasts, one called the leviathan and one called the behemoth. As i read it, i noticed how much of jobs description of the behemoth matched that of a large sauropod, it is likely that it was. As for the leviathan, there are theories that its a large whale or probably something like a crocodile.
yes, but the bible refers to dinosaurs as dragons
I have read the bible several times and I have found no mention of dinosaurs in the bible........
Job 40 refers to animals that could possibly be dinosaurs, like the behemoth, wich jobs description of it matches a large sauropod in many ways.
No. While the Bible mentions such beasts as "leviathans" and "behemoths" it is highly improbable that those were dinosaurs, because this directly violates strong scientific evidence that humans and dinosaurs live 65 million years apart. In fact, it would have been impossible for humans to arise without the dinosaurs becoming extinct first. Since dinosaurs dominated the Earth in the past, the mammals of the time were forced to remain small and insignificant, and only when they died out could mammals grow and diversify and for humans to eventually evolve. It is likely that the large beasts mentioned in the Bible were some other form of large animal, because it would have been impossible for dinosaurs and humans to successfully (and peacefully) coexist.
It doesn't. Dinosaurs were unknown by the people who wrote the Bible.
A:The Bible began to be written around two and a half thousand years ago, and reflects what people of that time knew and believed about the world. Since the last dinosaurs became extinct around 64 million years ago, the ancients had no way of knowing about dinosaurs. However, some modern writers improbably claim that references to mythical monsters such as leviathan could be references to dinosaurs. Additionally:Because extinct dinosaurs aren't pertinent to the Bible's message of the good news of the coming Kingdom of God and man's salvation.
There is no reason why they could not have lived together. The Bible says nothing about it.
YES, dinosaurs came long before Biblical times. When dinosaurs ruled the Earth there were no men.
because god didn't create the dinosaurs
Dinosaurs were all dead long before the Bible was ever written. Even if they weren't, dinosaurs are not believed to have been highly sentient creatures as humans. In fact, their intelligence level was more on the level of birds or mice.
Without mentioning dinosaurs specifically, the bible does refer to groups of creatures that may include them Genesis 1:25 all the creeping animals of the ground Genesis 1:21 New American Bible Great sea;creatures or monsters Genesis 1:25 the wild animals of the earth
