You must produce documentation that proves to them that you really are who you say you are. They have to check far enough to ascertain that the identification is valid - I'm certain that your name will come up.
I disagree with the answer above.
Probably answer by a police officer or prosecutor.
California requires a certified birth certificate and your Social Security number to confirm your identity
The California DMV website states:
"All applicants must submit to DMV their social security number. Evidence of your social security number is required only on applications for an original commercial driver license and any request to correct a SSN that is already on the driver record data base, regardless of the class. The SSN is considered confidential and will not appear on the photo license or be encoded on the magnetic stripe. Any documents that the department is authorized to release to the public will have the SSN masked. The SSN is electronically verified with Social Security Administrationwhile you are in the DMV office for all DL/ID card transactions, if it has not already been verified"
So the DMV verifies your identity by referencing your SS number again the SS database and the Social Security Administration does not have access to LEIN (Law Enforcement Information Network) that keeps track of warrants and criminal information such as Personal Protection Orders.
I think there may be some risk associated with contact with the DMV for purposes of getting an ID but I think that risk is very low.
Good luck.
most likely depending on the severety of your warrants. rape, murder, billions in drug trafficing..etc. that type of record may draw suspision.
Yes. Since state-issed ID cards and Driver's Licnses are considered to be a vaild form of identification, every state must go through the process of actually identifying you when you request a state ID, or driver's license. This will include a background check on you to determine that you are who you say you are.
I would think so.
If you get a warrent in one state but live in another can you just not go back into that state and be fine? Will the warrent show up on a background check?
Warrants follow you where ever you go. They are linked to you electronically through computer databases. Therefore, going from one bank to another, one province to another, one country to another or one continent to another, your warrants will be seen by all those who check.
Perhaps not routinely, but very much like airline passengers, anyone on the passenger manifest is subject to random check by the authorities.
No. That is being a "fugitive from justice". Go get the warrants taken care of.
Depends on where you are. If they check warrants you may go to jail. If they just take your name you are ok for the time being but then later they could in fact come back knowing (now) where you are. If your life is in danger they are required to attend to that firsat obviously.
how far does speedway go back to check your background <><><> If there is an outstanding warrant for your arrest, and it is still a valid warrant, it will show.
I would think so. The first step in nearly any application process is to conduct a criminal history and records check. Take care of the warrants, then try again.
Only if you go through Anaheim in California.
Generally no you won't go to jail if you go to the hospital. Health care providers don't care about the legal status of their patients. If you go to the hospital with a gunshot or stab wound or because of some other illegal activity they willcall the police. The police will then check you for warrants. If you just go to the hospital because you are sick they don't care if you have a warrant.
