Roman Catholic AnswerThe Catholic Church has certain procedures in place, contained in the Codex Iuris Canoici (Code of Canon Law). Book VII contains Processes, which contains trials, special procedures, penal procedures, etc. The internal ordering and competent authority are covered in Book II. In the final analysis, the Bishop of a diocese and final authority over all the priests in his diocese. The Bishop, of course, is submissive to the Holy Father. As of right now, I believe the Holy Father, and the competent authority under him, which would be the Congregation for the Clergy, has procedures in place for discipline concerning priests.
