Neither. The motherboard is only equipped with PCI slots. There are solder holes on the board where a PCI Express slot would have gone, but HP chose not to populate it on this model. The circuitry is probably still intact, but it would take some moderate soldering skills to attach a new slot, and would certainly void your warranty.
It twice as fast as Agp x8 and will ultimately replace AGP
A pavilion on the hill was used for the wedding ceremony.
PCI express is about twice as fast as AGP and will ultimately replace AGP.
I can give you several sentences. We can meet at the pavilion in the center of the park.Get under the pavilion roof before the rain starts. We built a small pavilion beside the river.
Several hundred video cards, based on dozens of chipsets, support the AGP bus.
it stands for accelerated graphics port.
You can use any AGP card as long as the motherboard has a compatible slot. Check out specs like AGP4x 8x etc.. - Neeraj Sharma
PCI express x16 is much faster than AGP.
AGP is a short for accelerated graphics port. Old computers (well - this depends on how long you have been involved with computers ;-)) have usually one AGP slot which is intended for the use of a graphic adapter. For more information you might want to consult Wikipedia
The PCI video card should work, but you may need to change a setting in your BIOS to recognize it. Enter "setup" when the computer starts, and look for a setting about video options. There is usually a setting indicating to seek an AGP or a PCI video card upon startup. NO! A pci video card will only fit into a pci slot in a motherboard. Likewise an agp will only fit into an agp slot. They are completely different. Both of these above answers are right and wrong. PCI and AGP are two totally different standards, but as long as you have an open PCI slot, you can use a PCI video card and opt not to use the AGP (Make sure to change appropriate options in your BIOS.) ==Answer == Yes you can use a PCI card where the slot is avaliable, but if your motherboard has a slot for AGP cards it is worth noting that the systemboard was designed with AGP in mind. It offers a system bus direct to the prossesor for faster unhindered communication.Running a PCI card on a AGP board may and probably will slow down your system performance.
There are different kinds of x800 xt graphics cards. A lot that I have seen do use an AGP x8 connection. If you get one, just make sure it does have an AGP x8 connection and you'll be good. - ElectroGoofy
