No, the Kodak zi8 does not have a picture flash unfortunately. I happen to own one and I wish it did. However, with the right lighting, the camcorder is very great at taking footage.

Both camcorders have good video quality, but the Kodak ZI8 provides better color in its video. Kodak ZI8 also include a mic input while the Toshiba Camileo S20 does not. The Kodak ZI8 does a better job with macro than the Toshiba Camileo S20, But the Kodak ZI8 is much more expensive when comparing the prices on ebay and amazon. ZI8 is better, but they both record in HD with pretty much similar specs. Money Issues/Budget = Toshiba Camileo S20 Budget/No Budget Issue = Kodak ZI8
Is Kodak zx1 better than Kodak zi8?
It depends on what you are looking for. If you want a better price, then go with the zx1. But the zi8 is a newer and more advanced version of the zx1. I own one and love the quality I am able to get when using it.
