It is legal for children in the Netherlands from ages 15 and up to take on minor jobs. There are however strict rules; for example children may not work at night and the younger ones cannot work in the evening. Hard labor is also not allowed and there are limits on the amount of work that may be performed per week. There are also minimum wages for children.

One example job would be to work in a shop filling shelves.

Beyond this, child labor is illegal in the Netherlands.
