Does the Samsung captivate take videos?

Yes. Go to applications (four white squares in one large blue square at the bottom of the screen) and press "Camera". At the left side of the screen (when phone is horizontal) there is a grey rectangle. Press that, and several squares will appear. In the upper right corner, there will be a grey square with a picture of a camera, and a faded picture of a video camera behind it. Press that and it should go to video camera mode. If it doesn't work, try it again. There will then be a record button on the right side of the screen (grey rectangle with a red dot in the middle). Press that and the video will start recording. To stop recording, press the grey square with a white square inside it. You can then press the button with the triangle to view all videos that have been made. Hope this helps :)
