not always but it will turn about a second before the engine siezes due to a lack of oil The service engine light turns on for emission related failures, not lack of oil.
NO.
The Chevrolet Cavalier 2.2 liter engine will fit into a Chevrolet S 10 pickup. You will need to change the motor mounts on the Cavalier engine in order for the engine to bolt in properly.
No
The service engine soon is the same as a check engine light. It has nothing to do with an oil change.
how do you change a timing chain on a 2003 Chevy cavalier echotech 2,2l
Never as the 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier does not have a belt, it has a chain that should last the life of the engine.
the engine that you have in your 01 cavalier WILL NOT work in a 95-00 cavalier. They changed the type of motor that they used in 01. They went from the 2200 I4, to the 2.2l Ecotec in 01. It has more h.p. stock and the spec are completely different then the 3rd gen motors. It will work but you have to change the top end of the motor in other words the block is interchangeable It will fit into the 1997 because cavaliers have sets of years that the cars have same parts like for a 1995 u can fit a 86 engine because Chevy didn't change their specs. I have a 01 trans in my 96. So as long as u get the right specs on your engine it should match ur trans and it will work.
nobody really knows
change the crank position sensor
This light has to be reset by the person doing the oil change. It is not automatic when the oil is changed.
Change it at 90,000 Miles. Also, the water pump should be changed at the same time as it is driven by the cam belt. This is an interference engine and if the belt breaks serious engine damage will occur so do not neglect this service.
It will cost you nothing because your Cavalier has a timing chain and not a belt. The chain is designed to last the life of the engine.
