Not exactly. It combines all messages sent/received together. It will list the contact's name, and then all the messages you and them have sent. For example:
It will say, "Brad," and if you scroll down to it, it will show if you have sent a message or if you have received a message from him. If you click on it, it will come up with all recent messages, such as:
Brad: Hey when is the meeting?
You: 12:00 in the West Conference Room
Brad: Okay thanks.
You: And make sure to bring your slideshow.
It will list the entire conversation. So it technically doesn't have an in OR outbox, just a combination of the messages.
