The metric system isn't used for day to day time measurement. The point of the metric, or SI, system is that it is a universal standard, the normal 24 hour clock is already the established universal system.
Within the SI system the base unit of time is the second, all the normal prefixes apply, but since multiples of seconds are generally quoted in minutes and hours, the prefixes are mainly used with fractions of a second; milliseconds, nanoseconds etc.
Most of Europe have adopted the metric system.
Turkey uses the Metric System. The only country that does not use the Metric System is the USA.
The metre (meter in the USA) is the base unit of length in the metric system. It is equal to the distance light travels in a vacuum in a time interval of 1/299792458 of a second.
All countries use the metric system, except Liberia, Myanmar (Burma) and USA.
The metric system is actually widely used around the world, including in most countries outside of the United States. The metric system is based on units of 10, making it easier to understand and work with compared to other systems. The United States has not fully adopted the metric system due to historical reasons and the cost of converting existing systems.
the metric system is used in almost every country. America and 2 other countries use the USA customary system.
America is not a country, it is a continent. The USA, Burma and Liberia do not use the metric system as an official system of measurements. However the USA still uses metric measurements heavily in many areas, particularly scientific ones.
The metric system was adopted into New Zealand in 1969 and the transition was completed by 1977 by which time it was required that all retail advertisements, measurements and scales be in metric units.

There are only three countries that have not officially adopted the metric system as their system of measurement: the United States, Liberia, and Myanmar.
