Yes,they exist even nowdays i've been doing some reasearch on their history and their presence they existed in hist Altair(as the name) does exist but his name wasnt really Altair,it was a story that my grandfather told me the story goes something like "Old Man in the Mountain".Masyaf Castle does exist it is placed in Syria,Ezio Auditore did exist and was known as a master assassin in Firenza,his work are a legend amongst people of Firenza.My grandfather told me stories about the Assassins when i was 7 years old i remember them even now(17 y old).He told me things like if u won't be good they will get you in the night i told him im not scared,3 years later my grandfater died with unknown reasons.Yes the Assassins exist you have it in Wikipedia everywhere.Assassin symbols are all around you especially in Architecture and Art.Leonardo da vinci was really an inventor for the Assassins as much as the greatest inventor in the Renaissance for further info mail me aqua.extzz@gmail.com
