It keeps the temperature of our planet i.e. the Earth fairly steady. During daytime, the atmosphere prevents the sudden increase of temperature.

During night time, it slows down the escape of heat into outer space. On the moon due to the absence of the atmosphere the temperature there ranges from -190 to 110 degrees.

The atmosphere keeps the average temperature of earth fairly steady during the day and even during the course of whole year. The temperature also prevents the sudden increase in temperature during the day, and during night it slows down the escape of heat into outer space.

The atmosphere has a crucial effect on the regulation of the earth's climate, as it is a mixture of different gases and aerosols known as air. The air consists of nitrogen and oxygen, however carbon dioxide and methane have an impact on the amount of energy that is stored in the atmosphere and the earth's climate. The atmosphere does not operate as an isolated system, the world's oceans play a vital role as well. The Ocean's currents move heat from warm latitudes to colder latitudes, and heat is transferred by the way of moisture. Water evaporating from the surface of the oceans stores heat which is released when the vapor condenses to form clouds and rain. The oceans store most of the heat than the atmosphere.

What are the change in atmosphere that relate to the climate change?

It is the increase in the levels of greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide and methane that are causing more heat to be retained in the atmosphere. This extra heat is global warming, and this is causing climate change.

Is there any difference between who is funding studies for and against climate change?

yes there is funding studies is someone that studies how to fund and climate change is the change in the atmosphere

How has co2 effected climate change?

CO2 has affected climate change, by thickening the atmosphere - this causes more radiation emitted by the sun to become trapped within the atmosphere, instead of reflecting back into space.

How is pollution affecting the atmosphere?

Well, because the atmosphere protects us. If too much goes into the atmosphere, it can cause climate change and weather change and can affect the air we breathe.

How do Volcanoes effect the atmosphere and climate?

Volcanoes erupt gases that change Earth's atmosphere. The volcanic ash and clouds can affect the air and atmosphere

How are climate change and global warming monitered?

The Mauna Loa Observatory (MLO) is an atmospheric baseline station found in Hawaii. Here they monitor the CO2 and SO2 in the atmosphere.

How food security threatened by climate change explain with diagram?

food security is threatened by climate change most probably due to global warming this effects the environment and atmosphere

How does too much CO2 in the atmosphere effect the climate?

CO2 is a greenhouse gas. Too much CO2 in the atmosphere will make the climate hotter because it acts like a 'greenhouse' or blanket as it insulates heat in the atmosphere. CO2 allows heat to pass into the atmosphere but it doesn't allow heat to pass out into space. Too much CO2 in the atmosphere would trap the heat in the atmosphere, causing climate change.

Does climate change affect precipitation?

I think Yes, Climate change affect temperature, and changes in temperature means changes in Precipitation. Precipitation depend mostly on condensation of atmosphere water vapor, and condensation does depend on temperature which is affected by climate change.

How are we changing the balance of the gases in our atmosphere today?

We are adding more and more carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. This is causing global warming and climate change.

What can cause a sudden change in climate?

People start burning fossil fuel. This releases greenhouse gases that build up in the atmosphere. This traps more heat and causes global warming. The warming adds extra energy into the atmosphere causing climate change.
