On a 2007 Ford Focus : Just the automatic transaxle ( transmission ) has a fluid level dipstick It is in the engine compartment towards the front of the vehicle ( that's not where I would be looking , but according to the drawing in the Owner Guide that's where it is )

The 2012 Ford Focus has a dual-clutch automatic transmission - this is basically a manual transmission that shifts automatically (more efficient, but also much different from your modern day automatic transmission). Because of this, as you hit the breaks, the car doesn't really coast in neutral - it downshifts through every gear. I myself have a 2012 Ford Focus. The transmission needs about 500-1000 miles to break-in the clutch. In addition, the transmission has fuzzy logic that adapts to your style of driving. You will notice that after that first 1000 miles or so, this won't be as noticeable. -Nick

Without knowing US or European version, Automatic or Manual, and year there is no way to answer this question other than: Support engine and transmission assembly, Unbolt failed component and bolt in new.

That stands for Automatic Focus.

Ford designated fluid. It's written on the bottles. I think Mobil 1 makes it... or Pennzoil. Go to Wally*World (Wal*Mart) and check out the shelves in "Automotive."

The 2001 Ford Focus transmission range sensor is located on the side of the transmission. The sensor will be on the left-hand side of the transmission.

User Avatar

yes but it would take alot of time and money to do so . You will have to replace the wiring harness , add a automatic trans computer cables etc.... unless you could get another parts car with a these parts .... but then you would still have to take it to ford to reprogram to the whole car for everything to work right.
