Yes. Otherwise if the backbrakes locked abs would be useless.
I had this same problem with a 91, on mine it was the caliper slides, which allow the brakes to self-adjust.I was able free them up with penatrating oil and then work them back and forth until they worked on their own.The slides are where the mounting bolts go through the calipers. Hope this helps Good Luck.
The abs brakes on the back of a 94 S10 are designed to help slow the truck down quickly. Without abs, the brakes can lock up and the truck could slide uncontrollably.
Yes.
Yes, your normal brakes will still work, but the ABS may not function.
You do not have to plug anything. You will have normal brakes even if the ABS does not work.
Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner to determine the problem

yes they do have abs brakes
No. Your normal brakes will still work even if the ABS Module is bad. You will however have no ABS function.
by increasing the friction ABS brakes have the same friction as standard brakes, the way they work is to release the brake force to a wheel that stops turning preventing lock up and loss of steering control.
You would adjust the brakes on a vehicle with abs brakes the same way you would adjust the brakes on a vehicle without abs brakes.
The ECU for the ABS brakes is attached to the Master cylinder for the brakes.
