The Bald Eagle does exhibit unique territorial courtship behaviors. Bald Eagles will general mate for life, unless one of the pair is killed. They have Ariel displays in which they lock talons in mid air during flight. The pair build mutual trust and bonding.

  • Eagles are territorial it will chase and kill other birds (eg: like a falcon). If the falcon has a big piece of fish or other types of carcass in it's mouth it will chase and kill it till it gets the food out of its mouth.
  • If there is an eagle perched up on a tree and see another bird catch a fish in front of it, it will chase the other eagle to get the fish from the eagle that caught 1 fish

No. Bald eagles are not very social animals, as they do not live with any eagles besides their mate. The only exception is when migratory populations travel together, as with many bird species.

Bald eagles often gather in numbers at food sources, such as salmon runs.
