Does the bible say anything about psychics?

The Bible doesn't talk about psychics directly. The word Psychic (the way you use it) is defined as someone who is "sensitive to influences or forces of a nonphysical or supernatural nature."

In the Bible there are two kinds of people who would be considered "psychic." The ones who work for God (Prophets) or the ones that God condemns (like the woman with the "spirit of divination" in Acts 16:16)

In 1 Corinthians 12 there are a list of gifts the Bible suggests are beneficial to yourself, the people around you, and towards Gods plan. For example it lists the "discernment of spirits" as a gift from God. This gives one the ability to feel spirits as they are working in others (i.e. feeling when someone is angry) and in the environment.

So the distinction in the Bible whether psychics are good or bad is this, from what spirit is the person performing these gifts? The girl in acts was said to be working out of a "spirit of divination" and for large profits. The gifts in 1 Corinthians are considered gifts that work out of the Spirit of God.

Simply put, if someone is using their "sensitivities" in alignment with God's will then they are good. But if they are doing it out of their own selfish spirit (for large amounts of money) then it's best to steer clear of them. Not all psychics are evil.

All uncanny powers and magical arts are condemned in the bible. rather the bible urges faith, prayer, and trust in JEHOVAH as a protection against unseen WICKED SPIRIT FORCE'S. in the psalms the righteous pray for deliverance from evil, matt6;13. all those outside the glories kingdom of GOD, matt6;9,10,who persist in these Babylon practices will be destroyed. rev18;23. rev 21;8 22;15
