i belive so, because if it wasn't it wouldn't float on water. and because you body no longer has to breath, the oxegen takes weight off it.

How does your body float on water?

Because...our body has density. The amount of mass in a certain volume of matter is a property called density...the density of our body is less than the water that is why we float on water. But it's just a little less!

Does your body sink in water?

Whether or not your body sinks in water depends on your body's density. If your body is less dense than water, you will float; if your body is more dense, you will sink. Most people will float in water due to the density of the human body being slightly less than that of water.

What body of water has the lowest density?

Surface mixed zone

Why is the density of a person slightly less than one?

The density of the human body is brought down by the lungs, which contain air.

Is water less dense than the human body?

Yes, water is slightly less dense than the human body. The average density of the human body is about 985 kg/m³, while the density of water is 1000 kg/m³. This is why humans are able to float in water.

Why do a dead body floats in water even it is heavier than the living body?

A dead body can float in water due to postmortem changes like the accumulation of gases produced during decomposition, which increase buoyancy. Additionally, the body may have a different distribution of weight and density in water compared to when alive.

How can the density of a body lighter than water be determained?

The density of a body lighter than water can be determined by weighing the body in air and then in water. The density can be calculated using the equation: density = mass of body / (mass of body - mass of water displaced). This method exploits the principle of buoyancy to calculate the density of the object.

Why does egg flotation occur?

the density in the water causes it to float when you add more salt and less water.Just like the dead sea

Why is it easier to lift the body in liquid then in solid?

i think it's because liquids have less density than solids, and the body is lighter in liquid.

Do you need more or less density to float?

More density will sink. Less density will float.

What are the necessary conditions for the body to float in liquid?

For an object to float in a liquid, the buoyant force acting on the object must be equal to or greater than the weight of the object. This depends on the density of the object, the density of the liquid, and the volume of the object submerged in the liquid. The object will float if its density is less than the density of the liquid.

Is Saturn's density less or greater than earth's density?
