Does the color of material have any effect of the absorption of light energy?

yes it does if the material is dark it will be warm if it is

light it will be colder Yes, darker colors generally absorb AND

RADIATE more heat from radiated. Meaning that if there is plenty of

radiated heat available for example from the sun, dark clors will

absorb more. If it's dark and cold out and the surface is hot, a

dark surface will also RADIATE more heat than a lighter colored

surface. It's called "black-body radiaton."
