Sunlight.
A producer produces, or makes, energy. A consumer consumes, or eats, other things. Producers are living things that can make their own energy, either from sunlight or from chemicals. Some of the producers that are most familiar to you will be plants, which make energy from sunlight.
Solar Energy. Without it, all living things will die. With solar energy, we have vegetation, for animals to survive on. And the humans have both animals and plants to survive on therefore all living things need the Sunlight/Solar Energy to live. It is the source of energy for all producers.
Living things get energy from food . Producers make their own food , with the aid of Sunlight . Consumers depend on the producers for their food . Secondary Consumers depend on the primary consumers for their food . Decomposers depend on the dead bodies of consumers and producers for food . So simply , Energy flows from Sunlight to plants to consumers to secondary consumers to Decomposers . That's how living things obtain their energy .
Producers are green plants of any kind as they produce their own energy through sunlight namely producers.

Decomposers break down dead organic matter into nutrients that are then absorbed by producers, such as plants. Producers use these nutrients, along with sunlight and water, to create food through photosynthesis. This creates a cycle where nutrients move from decomposers to producers, linking the living and non-living parts of the environment.
The sun, respiration, photosynthesis and food are all sources of energy for living things.
Sunlight Air Water energy
The energy used by all living things starts with the sun. Through a process called photosynthesis, plants capture sunlight and convert it into chemical energy that is then passed through the food chain as organisms consume each other. This process is the foundation of all life on Earth.
