You don't have to but I would reccoment it. Although the Instyler is amazing, it is still an iron that can damage your hair. Hair is at it's weakest when it is wet, so i would let your hair dry naturallly before using it. You can blow dry it but I have learned from expirience, (and very curly hair) that when you blow dry first it usually takes LONGER to straighten.

The insyler is a fast working instrument that you have seen on tv. But does it really work as good as it is on tv?
