It can be made to fit but the dash mounts are different so the firewall has to be modified. You also need to change the heater and wiring loom.
Can you fit a 300tdi front bumper to a 200tdi
Discovery Series 1 and Series 2 share engines but not all brackets with the Defender, this is the 200TDi, 300TDi, TD5 and V8 (where available).
You can find a wiring diagram for speakers in a 1997 Land Rover Discovery 300TDI at the auto parts store. The diagram can be found in a do-it-yourself repair manual.
yes
The engines are a totally different design but the crankshaft design of both can be traced back to 1958 at least. The 300tdi and the 200tdi will fit your gearbox except one bolt which you leave out, you will need to move one engine mount and make up the exhaust and wiring loom to suit. The 300tdi will not fit behind the grille of a 2A without a lot of custom plumbing for the radiator. The 300tdi block is longer than the 2.25l or 200tdi motors. Ideally, the 200tdi is the correct retrofit for a 2A.
on a 200tdi and 300tdi there is a little square pot at the back left hand side of the engine bay. The pot is see through. on the side of it there are 2 lines, a minimum and a maximum line. Using DOT 4 brake fluid to top up but do not exceed the maximum line.
Either a 300tdi which is a 2.5 litre turbo diesel intercooled engine or a 4.2 litre petrol engine.
With lots of spanners and a crane. Best if you take a disc cutter to the front slam panel otherwise it gets in the way :-)
unfortunately toe only way to top up/re-fill the auto-trasmission on a disco 300tdi is through the dipstick tube, can be a long drawn out process as you have to wait for the fluid to go down before continueing filling.
No the wheels have a different stud pattern. the disco 2 studs are closer to gether. you can buy stud pattern changers for any landrover store eg. landranger middlwhich
Not all of the glow plugs are working
