I don't know it, but I never think he actually think himself to be related to the sun goddess Amaterasu (天照大神).

She is the most important goddess in Japanese mythology, but no one can prove that she really exists as you can't do your god except in inner reality.

Most important is that there are cultural relations between the emperors and the sun goddess. In Kojiki (古事記, "Record of Ancient Matters") compiled from the ancient myths in the 8th century, there are descriptions that the emperors are descendants of her. We may consider that the hierarchy-emperor compiled it for the purpose of reinforcing his status.

In the beginning song of avatar which 4 people represent the elements?

there are 4 elements in avatar just like there is in the real world. air- the season for this is fall. the airbenders believe in non-violence and believe that all live is sacred (which is why they are vegetarians) airbending is the least harmful element. although if it is used correctly can be extremely dangerous. the winds of a powerful airbender can go very high over 100. airbenders use the air around them which is why they love living on the mountains. airbenders can also jump high, run fast, and can fly either on a sky bison or with there glider. there gliders can be spun fast to prevent fire from hitting them. that way they doesn't hurt anyone. and airbender gets his tattoos of arrows when the become masters. the original airbenders are sky bison which use their tail and breath to bend. that is y master are marked with arrows because sky bison have them. airbenders base their bending on relaxing and focus. water- the season for this is winter. waterbenders can freeze and unfreeze water which is why they love living in the poles. They can bend any form of water (including steam). Katara once used her own sweat. they can also use the water in the plants around them. Hama also taught katara how to use the water in another human to control them. it is known as bloodbending. but only hama and katara know of this. even if the waterbenders did know they would consider it unhumane. some waterbenders unintentually make waves when they re angry. Water benders get stronger at night because of the moon. especially under a full moon. the oringinal water benders are the moon and ocean spirits known as twe and la or push and pull (create waves). Waterbenders rely on the flow of energy. they are a kind people that are kind of "go with the flow" earth- the season for this is spring. earthbenders have tough skin and tough bones so that they can punch through rocks. they can even dig into rock with their bare hands the important thing to earth bending is the stance. earthbenders are strong and stubborn just like the element. they use the ground to bend. some earthbenders that have adapted to a desert environment can bend sand. only masters can bend metal bc metal is made of earth but only small parts of it are. anything that's made from earths crust can b bended like coal metal sand etc... the original earthbenders were badger-moles that live in caves and are blind. earthbenders are straight on and stubborn however they are hopeful people. fire- the season for this is summer. the source for fire bending is the sun. so on a solar eclipse firebenders cant bend. on Sozin's comet firebenders are extremely powerful bc the comet gives the them power as if there were 100 suns. firebenders base there bending on anger and rage. the way the fire bend is by having energy and fire(a drive) inside you. iroh and jeong jeong are two firbender masters that know the true way to firebend. the original firebenders were dragons. the first to learn from the dragons were the sun warriors. iroh learned how to bend from the dragons. he is the only one who can breathe fire without using the comets power. it is how he got the nickname the dragon of the west. there is also lightning. few can bend lightning. they bend it my separating the negative and positive energy's in the air around them. lighting is known as the cold blooded fire. there is also blue fire. it is the same as regular fire except it is stronger (more powerful). firebenders are an angry people that rely on anger to fuel their energy and bending. they are "hot-headed"
