Photoshop a marriage certificate with your names. They don't check that closely.
With the U.S.'s new restrictions, you need a passport any time you leave the country. You'll want the birth certificate to get the passport, though, so in a sense you do use it to go on a cruise.
a passport
It must be a state-issued birth certificate with the state's seal on it. You will also need a government-issued photo ID for anyone over 18. As long as you are a US citizen and you are cruising from and to a US port, you will not need a passport.
Depending on there the cruise goes it is often necessary to obtain and have with you many documents. A birth certificate or baptismal certificate used to be required by almost universal more stringent requirements have made this bit of paper almost useless. You should check with your travel agent to see if you need:A valid passportA valid visa for your destinationRecords of immunizationNotes for permission to travel with underaged childrenOther documents required by the local government.
This question will invariably get you many different answers however as of a recent update you do not need a passport to "cruise" as long as you are a US citizen have a birth certificate (not a copy) and valid government accepted ID with photo AND your ship departs and returns to the same US port.
no it does not hope it helped = )
If you're a US citizen and planning to cruise to the Bahamas before summer 2008, you need either a certified copy of your birth certificate (it must have a raised seal) and a government issued photo ID (such as a drivers license) or a passport. The government may delay requiring passports for travel by sea but passports will ultimately be required for travel outside the US.
