Yes.
There is no difference if you already believe that the Son of God is Jesus Christ.
Being religious has nothing to do with being baptized, if you are speaking of the Christian practice of baptism. Religiosity is not something to strive for, as it means nothing. If you believe that 1. Christ is the Son of God, 2. Who came to earth as a Man, 3. Died on the cross for our sins, and 4. Rose from the grave after three days, then returned to his Father, you need to tell a pastor, and I'm confidant that you would be baptized. Some Christians believe if you are not Baptized you will not go to heaven. You can still be a Christian and not believe in this (I was never Baptized.) My belief is living your life according to God and helping others and being the best person you can be ... you are a tool of God. Yes, you can be Baptized at anytime as an adult. Have you heard that song, "Take Me To The River?" Love the song and that's what it is all about ... cleansing one's soul and a testament that you believe in God/Jesus and the Holy Ghost. Each to their own. RELIGION HAS NO ROLE IN YOU GETTING SAVED!!! ACCEPT JESUS AS YOUR SAVIOR!!! BELIEVE IN GOD AND LIVE A LIFE THAT PLEASES HIM!!! OBEY HIM!!BE BAPTIZED IN JESUS!
so people can respect jesus !
Yes he was tempted in the wilderness by satan.
Christians believe that being baptized means that you have been united with the holy spirit, as a result, you will make it into heaven because you have the spirit in you. There is no age limit for being baptized, but most people get baptized as babies.
In some Christian traditions, individuals can be re-baptized if they feel called to reaffirm their faith or if the first baptism was not considered valid. However, other traditions believe in the sacramental nature of baptism, considering it a one-time event that cannot be repeated. It is best to consult with a religious leader from your specific faith tradition for guidance on this matter.
John doesn't prevent Jesus from being baptized, John baptizes Jesus. John doesn't want to baptize Jesus because john knows who Jesus is but Jesus tells him it is the right things to do. Matthew 3:13-16 At that time Jesus arrived from Galilee and came to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. But John tried to make him change his mind. "I ought to be baptized by you," John said, "and yet you have come to me!" But Jesus answered him, "Let it be so for now. For in this way we shall do all that God requires." So John agreed. As soon as Jesus was baptized, he came up out of the water. Then heaven was opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God coming down like a dove and lighting on him.
Baptism takes away our sins and it was prefigured through water because water cleanses. Thus, we are being washed by water. In order to fulfill those prefigurations, Jesus Christ had Himself baptized by St. John the Baptist in the Jordan River. Answer Jesus was not baptized of John because he needed to be, he was baptized as an example of what was required of all of us. Though He was perfect He set an example for all of us to follow..
Yes, being a 'Christian' is to be a disciple of Jesus 'Christ.'
Christian answerThe Jews had been yearning for a Messiah who can bring relief from the Roman yoke. Many believe Jesus of Nazareth to be that long-awaited Savior. Jewish answerWe cannot and do not believe that Jesus is god or the son of God.. Such a belief is forbidden in Judaism. In Judaism, Jesus was a regular human being who lived in olden times, and is not part of Jewish religious belief.
Those who were baptized by Jesus' disciples during Jesus' earthly ministry and who therefore also became Jesus' disciples were baptized in symbol of repentance in the manner of John's baptism. Therefore baptism is complete immersion or submersion in water, not a mere pouring or sprinkling. The Bible examples of baptism corroborate this fact. Jesus was baptized in a sizable river, the Jordan, and after being baptized he came "up out of the water." (Mark 1:10; Matthew 3:13, 16)
