No she does not. She is just the head of state of one of the 28 countries that are members of the European Union. Neither she nor any of the others govern over the European Union.
No.
The last Queen of England was Queen Anne who became Queen of Great Britain on May 1st 1707 after the union of England and Scotland.
Ironically, it was the death of Queen Elizabeth the First that brought about the union of England and Scotland; James I (of England, VI of Scotland) became king of both countries.
England has not had a monarch since the act of union in1707
When there was no male heir to take the throne ! Since the union of England and Scotland in 1707, the first Queen was Ann.
Queen Elizabeth II is currently the reigning monarch in numerous realms and territories. She is in fact the Queen of England, as much as she is the Queen of Canada or New Zealand and other states in the Commonwealth. However, England has had a special union with Scotland, (Northern) Ireland, and Wales since the 1800 Act of Union. Presently, the official name of this union is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and she is Queen of this United Kingdom and of its constituent kingdoms.
King or queen do not govern
ENGLAND FRANCE SWEDEN
Neither. There has not been a Queen (or King) of England since 1707 when the crowns of Scotland and England were united. Great Britain is not a country, it's an island. Queen Victoria was Queen of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
The last monarch of England was Queen Anne, who reigned from 1702 to 1714. She also held the separate titles of Queen of Scotland and Queen of Ireland and was a claimant to the throne of France. During her reign, in 1707, the Act of Union united the crowns of England and Scotland and she became Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain.
Because she's the Queen of the UK, not just England
It certainly wasn't any of those two. The last Monarch of England alone was over three hundred years ago. Not since the Union of the Crown has there been a King or Queen of England but of the United Kingdom. I should think it was Queen Elizabeth I or who ever was before King James VI.
