this is a question for the ages, and will be debated as well, the death penalty is only used in very few civilized countries, however, there are plenty of Caucasian and Asian people on death row, this of course depends on what country or what state you live in, and was the crime a capital offense. In a lot of cases the jury may not be able to see past the colour of someone's skin, so yes, it could have an efrect, especially in some of the African nations where the jury may be predominantly of the opposite race.

Yes. In the US the race of a person has an effect on the death penalty. A murderer who has killed a black person is less likely to get a death sentence than a person who kills a white person.

Some think that the race determines how likely a criminal will get the death penalty. One possible argument is that how can it be racist or the government's fault if people of a particular race are more likely to do something that's worthy of the death penalty?
