While not a Glock, the Winchester 9mm is what I recommend the most it doesn't have a lot of kick a lot of power though good for home protection and a good side arm and there should be training you only have to be 18 usually. Still not a Glock, but the Ruger LC9 is a good 9mm.
No, .30-30s do not have a lot of kick, however, recoil (kick) being "bad" or not is largely a personal issue. For some folks, even the diminutive .223 has a lot of recoil, while others have no problem with the recoil from a .378. It also depends on the design of the rifle.

One Tip is to never kick the ball with your TOE! NEVER! Kick it with your laces its will go alot farther and you didnt break a toe Lean forward when you kick if you go forward you will get a lot stronger kick
