The throttle position sensor tells the engine control module what you are doing with the throttle as you drive. If you let your foot off of the accelerator pedal the throttle position sensor sends that information to the engine control module and the engine will receive less fuel and it will lose rpm.
That would be your throttle Positioning Sensor. Basically it tells your computer how much you have the throttle opened. If the sensor is bad or loose it will cause your Injectors to pulse Hench not allowing your engine to climb RPM's.
Throttle plate stuck in throttle body? Try to free with a screwdriver
TPS, throttle position sensor.
Throttle plate stuck open?
change the TPS Throttle Position Sensor
THE TPS-THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR IS BAD,IT IS LOCATED ON RIGHT SIDE OF THROTTLE BODY AS YOU LOOK INTO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT,IT WILL BE BLACK WITH ONE ELEC.PLUG.
my money is on the sensor
The throttle position sensor (tps) could make the rpms vary.
vacaum leak or bad throttle position sensor. gm Jim
The throttle position sensor is on the throttle shaft, on the throttle body.
this problem is solved, cleaned mass air flow sensor, rpm will red line. thanks jl
The throttle position sensor is in the throttle body.
