First of all they don't hate the number 3 and Gabe Newell just want to make the best games he can and that takes time you cannot rush art if you take half-life 2, team fortress 2, counter strike and portal. wouldn't be hard to come up with ideas? such as pro/repulsion gel, the gravity gun, the combine or the TF2 art style and personalities wouldn't you think that would take some time?
