No it does not. The only thing that the videocard does is render graphics.

There's the mother board, processor,hard drive, video card, disc drives, power supplies, either net card and or wireless card (desk top). These are the most important parts of a PC. That's a desk top in a nut shell besides the monitor,key board and mouse.
