Yes, there are mammoth bones on earth. Both fossils of mammoth bones and actual bones have been found. Notably some frozen carcasses of woolly mammoths have been found in both Siberia and Alaska (mostly Siberia) which, of course, includes the bones within the carcasses. Mammoth bones have also been extracted from the La Brea Tar Pits.
They are both mammals, so a bison is more closely related to a mammoth than a mushroom. The closest modern relative of the mammoth is the elephant.
Mammoth Caves
They're both in Night At The Museum.
They were both stone age hunter/gatherers who lived in caves and rock shelters. They both hunted large animals, such as bison, horse, mammoth, etc.
It probably wasn't very different. They were both cavemen who lived in caves and rock shelters. They both hunted large animals, such as bison, horse, mammoth, etc.
There are many present day animals that are relatives of the woolly mammoth. The Elephant is the most recognizable, but, there are in fact others such as the Rat, leopard and Turkey are all relatives as well.
Both cats are close in weight. Smilodon has the huge, nine inch killing canines. But the tiger is faster on his feet, and and is just as powerful. If smilodon does not get a clean bite with his canines, the tiger most likely will win.
African Elephant. Despite their name mammoth's weren't all that big: five to eight feet at the shoulder. According to my sources (Which may be wrong, I grant.) They were up to 13ft, the dwarf species were 5 - 8. They were 6-8 tons, up to a big 10-12 for large males. The tusks were large at 16ft. But don't forget the hair was up to 20 inches long, and very thick with another 3 inches of skin under that, a bit like the blubber of whales. But the muscles in their body were very strong for even their big size, and had lived with extremely dangerous predators. Size isn't everything.
