no the transmission and the ignition system are two unrelated parts
Many issues could cause noises in a transmission. Start by checking the transmission fluid. Look for low fluid, discoloration or a burnt smell. Run a check of computer codes to show a possible transmission problem.
there are several problems that could cause this on a jeep one is the ignition switch, the starter, the gear changer on the transmission.
There are a few issues that can cause a 2006 Chevy Suburban to not start on first crank. These can include a dead or drained battery, problems with the fuel system, or issues with the starter.
transmission issues, but could be the starter also if you had a rough start.
not sure why your car is not starting or why you have a transmission leak, but I cant think of any way a problem with the transmission can cause your engine not to start, you most likely have 2 different and separate problems. You might want to include more info on your engine problem such as what happens when you try to start. does it turn over?
The first two things to check would be the transmission fluid level, and have it checked for codes. A lot of transmission problems will set trouble codes.
It depends on how much fluid leaked from your transmission. 2 quarts would probably be considered ok. anything more, the transmission might start to slip intermitantly and cause internal problems. Mac's Transmissions Houston, TX 281-743-1000
usually around age 6 cause they are smarter then at least if they dont have mental problems they can but if they do its at least 8 when they have mental issues
There are several things that can cause your 1986 Nissan 300 automatic transmission to send you a start leaking fluid the most common cause is a blown seal in the front of the transmission. There is a seal in the rear of the transmission. The transmission pan gasket can be leaking.
Start from changing the transmission fluid.
There is also the possiblitly of the valve body gasket blowing out and causing loss of vacuum in the tranny. That is what happened to mine @ 100,000 miles. Transmission problems are best left to a pro. The basic thing you should concern yourself with is the transmission fluid. A higher, or lower level can cause shifting problems. Or of course, if the transmission fluid is dark or burnt, that can mean transmission problems too. But make sure the level is ok. If the fluid is ok, i'd get it inspected at a trusted transmission shop. Usually problems in transmissions start small, and if you catch them they can be remedied. Best of luck.
The parking brake is on or the transmission (automatic) or the clutch (standard) has problems.
